Screen Critique

The third men in black film is being rumored to be made. Apparently Ethan Cohen is to write however, it is believed that if Columbia can not get Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones to appear as the duo again, it is unlikely the film will be produced.

There is also talk about Ridley Scott making a prequel to the first Alien film. The film of course will still be based in the distant future but will be set at least three years before the original masterpiece

REVIEW:

INGLORIOUS BASTERDS

The 7th film by cult film maker Quentin Tarantino, Inglorious Basterds is his long awaited war epic that has been in the works since his pulp fiction days, and it delivers. Inglorious Basterds features all of Tarantino pop culture conscious sensibility along with his unique style of writing and perfect sense for timing and suspense. Fans of Tarantino’s very particular style of violence also will not be disappointed; the films violence is both shocking and startling and yet you find yourself laughing. You enjoy watching a scalping on a level that only Tarantino can deliver.

FINAL DESTINATION 4

The fourth film in the successful horror film series. The series began with New Line Cinema wanting to make a horror film in the teenage body count film genre. The final destination films have always been just that, a series of interesting deaths on a young group of characters. The plot does not really matter nor does the dialog or interpersonal relationships. The films work purely on the opening accident scene and the deaths, this film does just that. The acting is awful and the characters are typical, but the deaths in the film are fantastic and exciting and much more so in digital 3-D. The film, in my opinion, is the worst in the series but it is worth seeing if only for the deaths, but that being said I liked the film much more thanks to the breath taking 3-D.
